Working Towards My Final Piece

 

Finally these images will influence my final outcome as I will focus on taking some image including jewellery and makeup just like these images focus on catching detail of curls in the hair and the bold necklace as well as the makeup, however the eye makeup will brighten up the features on the face just like Ellen Von Unwerth does in her images.

These images will help me as I will change the expressions used and will change the models clothes to a dress as it will make the model more manicured rather than simple and reserved with a jumper.

These images will influence my final piece is I will take a variety of different poses using a model from full length head to toe as well as head shots that. The full shot from head to toe I will develop these images by changing the clothes my model wears.

These images will help influence my final piece as I would like to use a variety of environments of backgrounds and use my surroundings to help me create black and white images as well as add colour into some of the images to show the environment I took them in.

These images are developments in working towards my final piece, I will take this further by using the studio and different environments capturing different black and white effects regarding settings for lighting and shadows.

In my photography project I have been looking at Manicure and have been exploring the photographer Ellen Von Unwerth who creates black and white images showing beauty and fashion. In my work I would like to show this by combining my own ideas of incorporating black and white images in final pieces formed from a series of images showing a model manicured regarding fashion and makeup in environments such as a studio and my own surroundings showing glamorous and elegant images.

 

 

 

Andy Warhol Development

These two images are were created in Photo Shop in responses to Andy Warhol. I used Photo Shop to change the levels that would then make then colours bold and give an outline. For example image 2 shows Nail Varnish bottles that have an outline which also shows development on Warhol's work as it is toned down and calm rather than bright and bold. I decided to take the top image of clothes in a wardrobe and add one block colour as once edited it would be a contrasting colour mix then 1 piece that stood out whereas the mixture of colours from the nail varnishes would be a variety of shades.

These three image are developments for Andy Warhol, I decided to use a pop art effect that he uses but incorporate my own ideas of specific features of the face which Warhol does only the whole face as he emphasises Marilyn Monroe's by adding bright and bold colours. I created these 3 images on the Apple product App: aPhoto using a Lithograph effect. For the 1st image shown I decided to take an image of a T-Shirt and a necklace which pin-pointed the necklace white on a black background showing a silhouette effect.

These images were taken at an angle above and in line with the facial features, I also decided to take the images from different angles to get shadowing effects, however I accidently got the shadowing off the camera across the face accidentally however I like this effect as it breaks the face into sections and even on some images it helps focus on one main point for example: images 1, 2 and 3. I have developed these images from Ellen Von Unwerth by focusing on the makeup and beauty side but keeping in with the theme of black and white as it helps bring out natural shadows and increases detail.
